Snatched time - again!

Hi to you all!
Just snatching a few minutes on a school free period – GOY is so addictive isn’t it?! I love getting all your messages and talking gardens!
Thankyou Spritz and Hywel for leaf mould advice – will definitely try your methods. Which plants really benefit from leaf mould? Am I right it’s good at bases of clemetis and honeysuckle? Weather bad as I thought today so plants probably won’t get in there new homes after school – maybe tomorrow!
Also thankyou all again for your birthday wishes!
Hope to meet some of you someday – I’m in Padstow if you ever nearby!
Love Jo x

Gwenda, don't rely on leaf mould to give any nutrients to plants. It is good to dig into soil, or to help with woodland plants, but does not provide any significant goodness. It is sometimes used in the place of peat if you were mixing some compost youself, but no, it isn't really for mulching Clematis, which is a greedy feeder and would prefer some home-made compost and a feed in the spring.
