In this weeks Amateur Gardening magazine there’s a good 2 pages on weeds and how to deal with them.
The other week someone mentioned about The Volcano in Iceland and will it affect the gardens.Well on page 27 of the magazine at the top of the page it says the Following.“Falling Ash fromm the Icelandic Volcano may be good for thje gardens, says experts.Boffins from Durham University say ash can fertilise the soil , hold moisture and retain good bacteria”.
There is some good articles in the magazine this week.

I'm more worried that ash is well known for producing cold weather! Brrrr I dont think we need anymore.

Hijuju. I did day volcanic ash was a good thing as it fertilizes the soil. Now you've seen it in the mag perhaps people will stop worrying! Decided against the bamboo, thats for your PM
