An Amazonian Garden in Nottingham.....

Last year, I moved to a little terrace on a hill in the City. The garden had been neglected for 30 years with 30 foot ashes and conifers on the plot. It was so bad that the surveyor from the bank refused to go into the garden and my friends said it was a jungle…. I had to call in tree surgeons to blitz it as it was usable. Most refused to do the clearance as it was just too steep and an enormous job.
This blog is to document how i have changed the garden and plan to make it to a gorgious hippy arty garden done totally free. Yes. FREE!!!
All the garden programs I watch say you buy plants from nurserys or grow your own. I want to prove anyone can tackle a horrendous garden and use the freebie plants from the good folk of Nottingham to create an oasis. I will update you on my progress….

Take it steadily, dont wear yourself out. We all have winter weeds to clear out and compost. Dig up all Dandelion roots with the spade to get rid of them.
Doing a section at a time is the best way, you wont get downhearted.
Watch for charity plant stalls to gather more herbaceous plants for the future years.
Remember Bees like mauve or purple flowers as they are
3 deg.C. warmer. I have a 6 foot square bed of them,
they look after themselves, and the Bees in May.
Lots of ideas on this Goy site, so keep logging in !
