I am looking forward to posting some photos of the Hillside Garden. But in the meantime, I have managed to get some cracking plants off freecycle which are in my holding bed or pots. I have got so far
Dogwood
Spirea
Sedum
DayLillies (2 varieties)
10 strawberry plants
A sackful of Dahlia bulbs.
I am well chuffed with this and is a great start!

Not sure but i will measure. Its really a flat bit with almost a 6ft sheer drop and another flat bit. Will measure at the weekend. I plan to do that too with any extras and there seems to be a lot of wild garlic in the garden. Thats good but a bit stinky to potentially have in my sun lounger bit!

A good way forward would to try and get into propagation and all it's forms, so many plants you can propagate, I like to do hard wood cuttings and semi ripe cuttings they are so simple to do, ask friends if you can have some plant divisions, you still have time to do them but better done in the autumn.

Freecycle is a great place to find plants, I got so many last year to fill my totally cleared garden with. A lot of them were unknowns as the gardner in the f a mily wasn't around when I came to pick them up and I was kindly told to go and help myself. So this year I'm moving things round massively to more suitable spots. I'm hoping to freecycle many of my surplus plants in return this year.
Good luck. Btw how big is the area you're working on?
