I am sorry to hear about your mother Holly. It's very difficult and stressful when we've got elderly parents who need care. I'm pleased she's having carers. They were a godsend to me when my mother came here to stay. I hope things will be a bit easier for you now.

I am so glad your mum has someone coming in Hollyeves. I used to be a community carer, I really enjoyed it, I miss it too, but now I foster children instead so that I can give them 24/7 care in my own home. Best wishes from me. :))

Bless you Holly, dont worry now, you have some help and that will make life a little easier for you. Dont worry about catching up on here either, just dip in and out when you can. Take care and keep warm. x

Thank you so much everyone for all your very kind thoughts and words. I used to be a carer in the community, and loved my job helping the elderly. Had to retire due to health reasons, thats why i get annoyed with myself as i cant help mum as much as id like to. Great help now she has carers and very good neighbours who come in to let the dog in garden and take her for a walk.

yes a worrying time Shirley, mum seems a bit better now, but still needs help.

Just so long as she is warm and comfy, Holly ... my daft Mum walked down to the greenhouse for some string ... thankfully she stayed upright ... forgot to take her walking stick and used the garden fence to steady herself ... grrr! ... :o(
