I have been looking through my photos, i had forgotten how the garden looked when i first moved here 4 years ago..It was just a lawn and nothing else at all.It was such a big lawn that the green woodpecker came down to feed…
I had brought some pots from the other house, but had to start from scratch with the plants.
left top of the garden.
I had a lot to do.
Pots from old house and Ella
Bird bath and pots before i made bed in middle.
Then i put in some conifers.
You can see the garden was quite empty.
Started some planting.
Now heres the garden 4 years on ..summer 08
Left side of garden.
Right hand side.
Pond at top on the right.
Patio……….

Left hand side.
Bottom right hand side.
Outside patio door.
These are just a few of last summers photos..im looking forward to adding new plants and making a bigger pond this year.

What an amazing difference. I bet it was nice to have such a blank canvas and to look back and see the results of your hard work. You have a lovely garden.

What a tremendous change and definitely for the better. Lucky you to have a photo of the woodpecker. Where I lived before I even built a 'hide' (an old camafluage tent!) - much to my children's embarrassment and amusement - but I still didn't get a picture!

What a lovely garden. If my own can be anything like that in a few years I will be very happy. Also had a woodpecker visit for a while, but haven't seen him since the new fencing went up.

Your garden is beautiful Hollyeves. Just the inspiration I need as I have the blank lawn (and woodpecker) and I'm looking forward to transforming it. I will be happy if I achieve just a fraction of what you have done. I'm very impressed and full of enthusiasm now.
