It snowed here this morning but melted as soon as it touched the ground. The pond was frozen though, for the second day runnng. The fallen leaves are sodden and very slippery.

In the Midlands we had a snow flurry that settled on the frozen ground - making it really treacherous. It did rain a little but the ground remained frozen all day.
We're on holiday for two weeks and the sun was glorious but we stayed in all day cleaning the house, sorting out cupboards and bringing the Christmas decorations down from the loft. Would much rather have been in the garden and, with the forecast for the rest of the week, we may have been wiser to have used the day outside. But then, we can't play all of the time!!!

Lovely poem Jacque. I enjoyed reading it :o)
We don't get much snow here if it comes from the north or east. The high Brecon Beacons shelters us from it.
Now I hope the wind doesn't change to west because then we could get a heavy fall :o(
I prefer the mild refreshing rain. lol
Keep warm !!

Enjoyed your pictures of the snow and of Summer - she's the color of snow herself! =)

I love the snow but only on my terms. That means I don't mind driving a few miles to play in it but then I want to come home and enjoy my mild weather. It did snow here two years ago for a few hours one day but it was 38 degrees (F) outside and I didn't expect it. We got about four inches of the stuff. Enjoy!

We haven't had one single flake fall yet here in the north east usa but one of these days I bet we're going to get it good. I usually don't mind the snow but for some reason I would rather not see it this year.

We had it too, did'nt settle though, thought it might have snowed again today, was certainly cold enough and when these big erie looking clouds appeared about 3pm though it might start - but it just rained hard instead. Would'nt it be good if we got a white Christmas! and by the way your new trellis looks great, really like it, big improvement Jac,

Ah - lovely Summer - looks like if she went out in the snow you wouldn't be able to see where she is - she looks so White in your pics, Jac! No snow here alas - just a bit of a flurry the other day then turned to horrid wet sleety stuff - pah! I love the snow - I so much want it to snow! Pleeeeeaaasse....... :-)

Before he died two years ago Paul's pyrennean mountain dog used to be Jasper's walkies partner. Occasionally we would take them into the woods for a late afternoon /early evening walk. As it got darker Jasper would disappear into the gloom and Oscar stood out as a large white blob except when it was snowy, then Oscar disappeared into the background and Jasper stood out like a lump of coal. It was the only time we lost sight of 50+ kg.. of pyrennean! Lol

Haha - it must have been a nightmare walking them across a zebra crossing......

Jacque! You are right, summer and Popie could be sisters! Amazing how much they look alike, except for the floppy ear that popie has. I see by looking at Summer that my girl must be more shephard than lab, although from what I was told she is half and half. I had a beautiful big boy shephard named Bear that was about 115lbs when he passed away 3 years ago (he was only 10), and he had pure shephard personality. Very beautiful, and stoic and kind. He was my buddy. I had a lab growing up, and I feel like Popie is more lab than shephard, but boy does she look like Summer! I cannot believe the resemblance, I have a picture of her all curled up, just like yours here, they could be twins! Great blog.

Yikes! Snow! Ours is forecast for tomorrow, Jacque - it's pouring with rain today. I am NOT looking forward to taking Henry out...
Summer, you are a very sensible lady. Henry sends you a lick - or he would if he could be bothered to get out of HIS warm bed! LOL.
