Prunned The Old Apple ............

This weekend was`nt Wet but Very Cold & its the time of Year for Prunning/Planting Trees ect ,So Phil got his Saw in Hand Climbed the Apple Tree & Cut out The Branches i asked him 2 ! This Photo is a B4 Pic Taken Feb 08
& This Pic i took this Morning Jan 09 after its Weekend Trim/Prunning :)
You Can see some of the Branches laying behind the Apple Tree,I also Prunned The Tree Last Year as lots of Branches were Rubbing/Touching so i thought they should come out 1st ,Its not A Good Idea2 Prune 2 much @ a Time as it could Kill the Tree this is why its had more cut out this Winter

The trees have had a hair cut lol....your brave i dont do much in the garden till the late Spring comes....except feed the birds and take photos..lol

It Grew Lots Of Apples Last yr Hywel ,but when i 1st moved in & started On This Garden The Tree Didnt Fruit @all :( so i gave it its 1st Prune back then which got it Friuting well Last Yr so lets hope like u say itl do well again this yr ? I was Wrapped up Very Well Holly" Scarf,Gloves,Big Coat"While Bossing My Phil about up in the Tree lol ;)

Well done Jacque, i've been pottering around my garden this morning, did'nt do much but it was quite pleasant the sun was out & not to cold.

Good job done Jacque - is it a cooking apple tree - it looks quite old - you'll have to get some mistletoe seeds - they do well on apple trees.

Hi Dawn its a Eatting Apple Tree but dont know what Type, Theres is a Cooking Apple Tree2the Left its just Visable :)

Hope the apples are tasty, I see the other one now. I think that's an ash tree on your second photos - in the distance with the ivy up the trunk - I have that looks just the same.

Jacque....from the shape of the tree looks like oak or beech...for some reason,notice ivy likes climbing through beech but dont know why.Ray says,best way is to go take a look at the leaves below it...if any left.!

Cant get hold of any of the Leafs Jane/Ray as its in a garden of some 1 i dont know so guess itl remain a Mystery " Spooky " lol :)

Yes Janey some of the Garden is 4 Wildflowers ,Iv sown some Wild Poppys in The Grassed Areas around the trees u can see here & In Spring ul see Daffs,Snow Drops,Aconites,Ul see Tulips in Back Ground just in Front of the Laural trees come april time 2 :)Also Planted 3 New Buddlejas in this area :) Roll On Spring/Summer ;)
