Im looking For Garden/Gardening Related Poems ??

Hi Jac, what a lovely idea... now we don't have so much to do in our gardens.... well i say that, i have plenty to do and never the time/right weather to get it done...lol anyway back to your request... i have one, I wrote this myself for a school project i was 11 and my teacher thought i had coppied from somewhere, i swear i did'nt but i still got a detention... :-( .... it is not strictly garden... i think i may have posted it on here some time in the past, short and sweet and well i hope you like it.....

SPRING

Daffodils fighting to get through,
Snails creeping wet with dew,
Ice cream vans begining to come,
Children playing in the sun,
As the days dream away,
Nearly gone is the month of May.

thats all i see,
where`s our sunshine and summer breeze,
RAIN,RAIN,RAIN
i want to feel the sunshine on my face,
and watch the pretty butterflies in chase,
RAIN,RAIN,RAIN
i want to see the trees swaying softly in the breeze.
and hear the buzzing of the honey bees,
RAIN,RAIN,RAIN
clouds and more clouds thats all i see,
but dream of sitting beneath the tree,
sipping my wine and feeling free.

Morning TT i thought itd give us something to do/read on these cold ,Wet Days/Nites :)

Yes... Could you write a poem about Puss being pleased to be back out in the garden ? Your blog about Puss being delighted to be outdoors was so good, you could make another with little bits of poetry for each photo...puss on the lawn... that would rhyme with what a lovely morn...Lol. Febe up the tree...look at me ! Lol.

You could get some ideas from how I arranged the poetry on my recent Happy Garden Calendar blog... doesn't need to be lots and lots of lines.

Have you included in GoYpedia the poem/blog you did about the 4 seasons?

I started her off with words to rhyme with Angelina...
but she probably won't need them...

ive written something, but as she was an older cat she didnt get up to any tricks or funny things,so it may be a bit sad, more about geting her, is that ok

The moment i saw her sat alone,
I knew i had to take her home,
A tiny frame looking so sad,
Left to die,her owners so bad,
Cancer had taken part of her ear,
People just passed her as she sat in fear,

I brought her back to our happy home.
That little cat a bag of bones,
It didnt take long to claim our love,
So much joy she gave to us,

Angelina was her name,
A perfect angel to me she came,
A garden friend to me each day,
Never thought she would be taken away,

The happiest years she gave to me,
The best little cat a pet could be,
She loved to watch the birds at play,
But never tried to scare them away,

We were brought together for a reason thats for sure,
If i could just have kept her a little more,
She has now gone to a better place,
By gods side to be at peace,

I will never forget the joy you gave,
Now at rest you were so brave,

Words dont always come easy but when Friends come together somewhere like here on GOY it helps 2 just let them Pour Out San X
