Lovely photos Jacque, and a swan always adds tranquility or at least the appearance of it. We used to live by a river and there were often swan fights and they were sometimes horrific, even once ending in death. Oh well thats nature.
Nice thought Tulsalady thinking of Spring and picnics. Lovely.

Glad phil is better......... i love having trees around to jacque.... theres a lack of them here near the beach........ thats why i planted my willow and silverbirch trees....

He'd be a very happy dog there - if we came with you, we'd have to keep him on the lead until we got past the swan, though - he loves swimming, and he'd be straight in! I'm a bit wary of swans - they've been known to attack dogs.
If he had to choose between a stick and a swim - the water would win! :-)))

Mmmmmmmm Silver Birch Trees r so Lovely Holly its 1 of my favs :) I plan on having 3 Rowans/Mountain Ash Trees Planted in the Community Garden im Designing for Jan ;) H & Summer would be best Friends Spritz as she loves swimming & Playing Fetch with sticks to :) Iv images in my head of Tug of wars between them lol :) Summer was once chased by a Swan :( Luckyly she was`nt hurt as she jumped back into the water & swam really fast back onto My side of the River bank :) Phew :)

They can be vicious, especially when they're nesting. We walk along a canal bank in the summer - well, we walk - Henry swims! There's a pair of swans there, and we have to be so careful.
Yes, Summer and Henry would get on really well! :-)))))))))
