Bluebells at Attingham

I looked at the rain this morning and thought – no chance of doing the borders as planned today and then I felt a blog coming on- earlier last week one sunny evening we popped across to our local National Trust Park at Attingham.
The bluebells were at their best and so here are a few of the pictures that I took
The Trust have marked out a path for people to follow for best effect so here are a few shots that we found
We chose to go quite late of the evening -so things were quiet and we saw lots of rabbits and pheasants and a thrush gave us a song as we walked through the woods
The bluebells featured strongly but other wild flowers blended in to give a canopy of flowers – such as the wild parsley – well that is what I call it – in fact it is very similar to a plant I bought at Malvern Show called Anthriscus sylvestris ‘Ravenswing’
The bluebells became more dense as we moved through the woods
Each individual bell is perfect I think and well worth a close up
The additional flashes of colour – pink for the Campion
and the odd plant of white bells – not sure whether these are wild or cultivated but they added a splash of contrast to the paintbox colours stretching away into the woods
A lovely walk – Attingham is well worth a visit

That's a beautiful place. Thanks for taking us on your walk. The bluebells are very colourful. I love this time of year and blue is my favourite colour lol :)
I used to live near a bluebell wood when I was little. We used to pick them in those days. I hope nobody does that now.

More lovely bluebells, mine are all finished, the few I have.
The pink flower looks like a campion or bladderwort.
