Pond

At last I have water in my pond Yippee!!!! After all the rain we’ve had it was nice to get a couple of dry days so that I could get the liner and water in my pond. The rain was a blessing in aw ay because I have 2 water butts and they were full so I managed to fill the pond with the rain water I had collected. There’s still a lot of work to do but it feels like I’m making progress now that I can see something for the hard work done. I’ve put half a dozen oxygenator plants in and I know it’s late in the season and I won’t have them for long but I put some floating plants in as well so that it looks a bit like a pond. I’m off to a yard that is full of reclaimed rock, stone and boulders at the weekend to see if I can find some edging material. I’m looking for some boulders but not big ones because they might dwarf the pond but I’ll see when I get there.
