hi there, well i was down in the dumps yesterday ,you know when you are just so fed up and could not be bothered doing anything, having a bad day all round..so i thought i would go to the allotment..now i know you are all probably sick of my plot by now but i checked on my grandchildrens pumpkins..
sorry this one is out of focus..
they are doing ok..
there wasnt anyone at all on site,no one to chat to,did not know if that was a good thing or bad..
even one of my cucumbers was chilled out in his hammock..
poor Robins toms have a bad dose of blight..
collected yet more beans..
as i was coming out to go home head bowed.. i am sure my little rose blinked at me..i walked home humming The yellow rose of Texas……
and i thought flower power was back in the 60s…

hi Heron,to be honest i cut most of the leaves off as did not see the point of great big leaves taking all the goodness from the plants..could be Freedom ,i lost the markers in strong winds we have been getting..dont think it was cheeky .. just trying to cheer me up..which it did lol :o))

Glad the visit to the plot cheered you up, Joan, wonderful how it can do that ! That cucumber looks huge, I suppose I'm just used to regulation sized ones from the supermarket. Do you freeze the runner beans ?

Thanks for showing us youe veg, I think I've just realised why my Squashes failed. The leaves on mine were enormous but the fruit was like marbles, the leaves on yours are much smaller but your squashes are great.
The yellow rose looks like one called 'Freedom' cheeky thing, winking at you.
