We have some happy memories of Palma Nova too,Joanella..had a great holiday there..loved going on the local buses,or boats, to other places too.I don't remember that square or old castle must have missed those..thanks for sharing :o)

hi Sandra,we have been a few times (we liked it so much) the castle has not been open to the public very long..it is in Palma.. so is the square,sorry for making you think you missed them..:o)

Ah,I see..thanks..I was wondering,as Palma Nova isn't that big..thought I had been walking around with my eyes shut ! Lol..love Palma too.and the Cathedral...Is there still a C & A in the shopping area ?

Lovely pics from your holiday, Joan, love the Bouganvillea as it just makes think of warm, sunny holidays! ... We went to Palma (the capital) when the children were small ... son was wearing a toy gun and holster ... the Spanish Police were not amused! ... :o)))

ooh Shirley..reminds me of a time we bought our little son.. now 19.. a toy gun on a market stall & it was taken off him 2mins later..i was fuming (different times now):o)

Well you can always get cheap shoes but I think it's a false economy as your poor feet suffer in the cheapies. Personally, for work, I like Clarks or M&S as I can get the extra half a size which makes such a difference.

I agree Sheilar..I take a half size too,and not many places sell them nowadays..I prefer M&S,and they last so long..I always bought 'footgloves' for work..and still do now,if I need new ones..

I just bought a pair of Footgloves last week Bloomer. Lovely soft leather, they're like slippers!

My first ones are at least 15 years old..and still going strong..in the shed,for gardening now! no sign of them wearing out yet :o)

you are right about buying cheaper shoes..i get cheap "pump" types for hols..but for here i get clarks..ones i got 2yrs ago for £50 are now £65..i think it is a right rip off..must say i havent heard of Footgloves..i am off to google them..:o)

some nice ones on there & the prices are good too..may have a look at them next time i go to town...:o)

I love Puerto Pollensa as well,Cmsue..but never stayed there,although we might,if we go to Majorca again...which is a possibility in the future,as we both love the Island..:o)

Ah, Puerto Pollensa ... beautiful place with the Pine Walk and the 365 steps to the little church in Calvari ... I loved it there! ... Would quite like to be there now really ... :o)))

Thanks Sue..it seems we all love Puerto Pollensa..although i too have not stayed there..not walked up all those steps either..i only got half way..& lots of little old Spanish women passing me.. going up & down..lol

Lol, Joan ... we did climb to the top but sad to see there was no Oxygen available! ... Worth it for the view though ... howling wind with rain lashing down here ... the bin was emptied yesterday and I think it's rolling around the garden now ... :o(

it is getting a bit windy now 11.15pm..temp has dropped too..you should have put a few bricks on your bin..lol..i have left one of the greenhouse doors open..just remembered..not going out there in the dark though..lol..i am off to bed now so will say goodnight..speak to you soon :o))

Morning all, 10.10am and the news reports that trampolines and a marquee were blown onto roads last night ... quite a few trees are down ... emergency services called out dozens of times between 8.30 and midnight! ... Taking an hour and a half to get into Chichester from most areas due to the usual flooding on the roads ... happens every year ... sun is shining now and all is calm ... :o)

Hi S hirley,wow sounds bad that..i was out shopping & snow fell but stopped almost as soon as it started so i expect we will be getting it soon..must buy some boots soon..keep saying it but not got any yet..:o)

Calmed down a lot now ... the sea was fantastic this morning ... great 'rollers' of waves! ... All the shops seem to have discounts so I'm sure you'll find a pair soon ... just hope we don't have any snow this year! . . .

My fashion statement in last year's snowy weather was a pair of green wellies! ... With some thick socks inside ... comfort not style ... :o)))

I said that to Ben the other day..i will have to get mine from the allotment..i have some thick socks..wore them last year.When its bad i dont care what i look like..i am just scared of slipping if there is ice..:o)

Just heard that snow is forecast to sweep across the Channel tonight ... possibly landing on our area! ... Went out to get the wellies from the garage/shed ... then remembered they were too tight and I put them on Freecycle ... :o(((

oh its drawing in now isnt it ? been cold & pouring down all day her..i went up to Nicola's this morning..it was the school xmas play & Sam (age 10) asked me last week if i would go & watch it..you cant say no to them can you ? good for you..putting them on freecycle..i always forget about that site..saves throwing them away..:o)

Hope you enjoyed the play! ... The wellies went to a school theatre group ... can't remember the play they were putting on ... it required lots of boots of any kind though ... :o)
