Bye to the old garden

We’ve made a start to clear some of the garden, 4 huge conifers are now in the recycling skip at the local tip. Two of the stumps are out but will have to wait until the bulbs are finished before digging the others out. Some other old and tired shrubs have gone too and the garden looks lighter already. This picture was taken last May, all that is left now is the acer. At least we will be able walk along the path without fighting a jungle.
This is an ‘in progress’ photo – preparing for the green house
All we needed was a hippo to wallow in all that mud!
Looks better now the staging is in and more plants are living inside.
No more work outside now until Easter – I just have to shut my eyes to the mess!

Thanks - I was very lucky, this 10' was on special offer for the same price as the 8', so it made sense really. Also I have 2 cat cushions in there as both of them like to snooze inside during the day. Planting is worked around them - I know my place!
