Lucky Find - Happy Easter

I’ve been trying various local garden centres for double primroses – no sign of them. But this morning – success! I’ve bought 3 Double Primrose Val Horncastle and there are a couple more colours I’m considering too.
It looks like it’s going to be quite a wet Easter weekend here, but whatever the weather does, hope you all have a enjoyable break.

I'm such a sucker for primroses, primulas, auriculas, cowslips and these look delicious - like the centre of a creme egg!

Try propogating them by taking some root cuttings.
I know you can do this with oriental poppies and acanthus. I am at the moment trying to do it with some drumstick primulas. If it works it is a cheap and easy way to bulk up stock.

They are lovely aren't they. I had a few colours myself but I think they've died this winter. I do hope you get some more.

That may be true Katnip. I do like them, so I hope that's the case. I think everything will be later than usual this year.
