New arch and planting

The garden changes are coming along slowly. We dismantled some trellis when the new greenhouse was put up and it’s been waiting for a new home. So, last weekend Paul made me a wooden arch over the path and we’ve put the trellis panels each side to give some height in the borders.
We’ve planted 2 climbing roses and 2 clematis so hopefully all will survive and make it look a lot softer.
One of my favourite colours of tulips.
I’ve split some of the larger geraniums (cranesbill) to make new plants, I hope I’ve not made a mistake – they look sad and floppy on the ground – fingers crossed that they will pick up soon.
We’ve worked all day in the garden today, enjoyed it immensely, but I think we’ll ache tomorrow. Whose idea was this to redesign the garden ???

Looking good ! I'm putting this blog on GoYpedia Design Ideas :o)
If you keep the soil damp around the geraniums, they should be okay....

Thanks Sixpence - He has made a good job of it
TT - thanks, Paul will be so chuffed. Watered the geraniums this morning, 2 look better, the smallest one is still very sad-looking.
Thanks SBG, Genuis and Elsiemay, fingers crossed they will all grow strong and bloom well.

I should think your cranesbills will be fine. Plants always droop after they've been lifted, and the weather is so dry aswell ( but I'm not complaining lol ). I like your arch and trellis. It looks lovely.

love the arches katnip. Funny because I've just put in a wooden one and am waiting for a metal one to be delivered. I think your plants will be ok. some varieties sulk when moved and some don't bother at all, but I think they will be ok - probably flower a bit later though.

Thanks Clarice and Susan. It's definitely a thought about the hosepipe, just a little sprinkle will help. The cranesbill look perkier this morning :))
