Wildlife in my garden

Most of us tend to have routines we keep to, get up at the same time, shower, breakfast etc. Well, it dawned on me the other morning how much my routine is now dictated by the animals and birds in my garden.
Of course the first job is to feed my two cats, Sammy and Thomas.
Then it’s down to the apple tree where little paws are drumming on the tree impatiently
Ahh! Breakfast, at last
Meanwhile, Bill and Coo are in the tree, waiting for the bird table to be restocked
Blue tit waiting patiently in the cotoneaster
Pigeon having his early morning shower before eating
Mr Chaffinch waiting his turn on the feed table
The robin very obligingly sat still for me between beakfulls
Keeping a beady eye on what was still available on the table
At least I didn’t have to put slugs out for the hedgehog’s meal
At last – I think it’s my turn for a cup of tea and some seed, sorry Muesli!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my visitors.

What a lovely blog and great pictures Katnip, especially the robin. I like the one of the pigeon having a bath - he looks soooo scruffy! I watched one trying to bath in the water bowl. He could barely fit in it, no camera to hand unfortunately.

Thanks for all your lovely replies - glad you like the photos, thank goodness for a digital camera with a zoom lens! It took over 20 shots of the robin before I got a good one - just lucky really.
The mornings are my favourite in the garden with all the activity going on.
Sammy and Thomas say thanks for all the cuddles - they are great softies!

How wonderful to have such an array of friends to greet you each new day and so trusting knowing that you will show up and give them all their breakfast. :~)))

I always say that very few birds visit my garden, so was thrilled the other day when a great tit stood on the trampoline. The trick must be to feed them but I am always afraid that the cat will kill them. photos are great though.

At the moment my weekend routine seems to be run by the garden, when I have to go to the bathroom about 7 AM ish (sorry) and I see the sun shining I feel that it is too good to go back to bed and sleep for another hour or so, so I get up and go down to the garden, make a cup of coffee in the weekend house, sit on the patio drinking it and just listening and watching the birds picking worms and grubs and anything else they find out of the lawn and flower beds, for me that is the best time of the day and well worth getting up so early.
