Phlox in August

I inherited this phlox and it is very pretty at this time of the year. I am posting few images of it. There are 4 different kind although most of them are whites. They bloom for long time but they are top heavy and first rain will beat them to the ground. Also, deer loves them but so far so good….

Pink phlox no.1

You have some very impressive phlox there, Klahanie. They look lovely in such large groups. I can only grow the white ones successfully, they withstand our drier soil and have clumped up. Yours are gorgeous colours.

They are beautiful, Phlox are one of my favourite flowers and I have a few types, but the summer ones are not very good this year. I think it has been too hot for them.
You have lots of pretty ones, I hope the deer will leave them alone for you.

They’re looking lovely Klahanie. I’ve only grown them for the last two years and have been amazed at their gorgeous scent.

The phlox is very pretty. Do they make good cut flowers? That's what I do when they flop in the rain.

I have a lot of these in my garden, whites being the most prolific, I split mine in the spring and they rewarded me by spreading even more, the mauve is the one that struggles here but at least it survives. Lovely photographs Klahanie
