Snow in February.

In the past couple of days we have got lots of snow.
Then the sun peaked out and the snow in the trees started to melt down
But next day more snow arrived
I really feel sorry for our little birdies
It is freezing over night and forecast says that it will be even more cold in next few days. I am not sure in how low temperature Anna’s hummingbirds can survive.
Little Jancos are used to our weather
Varied thrush (Ixoreus naevius)
Love these birds. We have quite a few around recently
OH bought me few flowers to cheer me up
There is a recent video (on YouTube )of a gentleman (which lives not too far from us) about his Anna’s hummingbirds which I found very enjoyable. He has an amazing camera.
Here is a link

Hope it will work.
The title is:
He created a hummingbird paradise in his backyard

Surely you feeding them with all that energy will help them get through. I hope it’s a short cold snap. X Thank you for that lovely video link. X

I'm sorry you've had snow and I hope it won't last long, and that the wildlife won't be affected too much.

The snow looks beautiful. I love it, that is until it goes all slushy & dirty. None here yet this winter! Hope your little birds will be ok.

Hello Klahanie, I've just managed to get into your blog before all the adverts descended. I'm trying to sort it out.
Gosh you have had some snow and although it looks very beautiful which it does, it's not what the tiny hummingbirds wants is it. Such tiny little creatures, they are so lucky that you and your hubby look after them so well. I'm hoping your cold snap doesn't stay too long. It's just cold, damp and grey here, but then it's February fill dyke as they used to say. Another couple of weeks and we'll have March winds to dry the land. March brings breezes loud and shrill, stirs the dancing daffodil...:))
I may not be able to get back on the site but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your little Annas. xx
