Deer Family

Lovely blog Klahanie.they are very cute..it must be so irritating though to see your shrubs disappear before your eyes.

However annoying is must be to have them eat your plants, I think it's lovely to see them :)

Amazing you get to see them so close, but also annoying that they don't quite understand that your garden is off limits!

I believe that they can be trained if one has time and energy to do that. I spray certain plants in early spring to teach them that they are not edible for them. It all lasts only to a next rain. But most of deer do remember. Also, it is only working for the ones living in the vicinity of our property. Unfortunately, there is a large population of deer on the Island and here and there many of them browse through here.
When we moved in I was very upset about the fact that I cannot grow many plants I love because they love them too but eventually I got in peace with them and try to grow plants that are not their favourite.

I too missed your blog Klahanie and am so pleased I found it. Little Bambi, she's a delight. They are truly beautiful creatures but I do hope they don't munch through all your Boston Ivy! I could do with them here to munch through mine! ☺️
