Beautiful Klahanie, especially the Phlox.

Such gorgeous blooms at the moment! Loving your pretty phlox flowers! Those dahlias are just gorgeous and blousey too.
August wouldn't be the same without the sunflowers..the birds and insects will certainly enjoy these, Klahanie.
The rose is a beauty too. I've just bought some more geraniums today, unbelievable!! I just needed more colour.

I'm liking your gorgeous phlox, they are one of my favourite late summer flowers.
You're right about the feeling that autumn is in the air, Klahanie, same here. We were noting the golden light last evening. It's felt like the last gasp of summer in our area, we are absolutely parched. The rain seems to work round us here.

Lovely photos, I like phlox also, I planted some white and pink last year, and this year they have done really well.

I have white and pink but one of them has nearly finished and it seems too early.

Mine is presently in full bloom and nice display.
The rain will destroy them as the heads are very large.
We usually get first rain last week in August. That is the time that my inherited colchicums will start to show up and it will ruin them as well....sigh

I love Phlox too and yours look stunning.
I feel also that summer s coming to an end. It feels really 'back endish' here.

Thanks SBG for liking my phlox. I think it is a lovely plant for this time of year. I would like to buy more, different colours, but unfortunately deer loves them too. I have to spray them with my homemade hot sauce to discourage them.

We live on the acreage (no fence) on Vancouver Island and we have lots of deer wondering around. They love roses....and lots of other of my plants.

How wonderful it must be to see deer wandering around, but I can understand how annoying it would be to find the evidence of their nibbling!!
