Made a start!

Well, after a very long wait, Ive finally made a start on getting the garden in some sort of shape.
Its got a long way to go but so far Ive managed to take up all the weed barrier and bark chips and turned over all the soil. It was very very compacted after years of being sat under weed barrier and the large pots that I used to have on there. Ive removed the log edging, edged the lawn properly and partially scarified the lawn (it needs a lot of work!)
Also had a couple of plants donated that Ive planted, possibly in their temporary positions until I buy more and start filling out the space.
Also tidied up the front garden but dont have any pictures of that yet.

Thanks all. Im going plant shopping on sunday so hopefully getting some bamboo and a few other larger plants that should start to give the garden some shape and the fullness that I want.
The conifers on the right of the picture behind the fence are getting cut right back tomorrow too. Itll make such a massive difference to the amount of ligh the garden gets.
More pictures to follow after the weekend.

That is a lot of hard work, but now you've freed up the soil around the grass, you can enjoy planting it up. Reward time!
