That's what most of them do,Ladybug..and your soil conditions this winter, must have been the best they could find..I have quite a bit too..and I'm glad you decided not to take a photo..I can look in my own garden..!.Lol

Sometimes shaking pepper-dust around will deter animals from poo-ing on your garden.... and push short sticks into the flower beds to stop the animals as well... I hope these ideas help...

I've given the blog a "like" to encourage you with your weeding...lol. :o)

I have short sticks and rose cuttings stuck in mine,Tt..I think the cat..I know who you are!!..uses them to lean on,or scratch his back..Lol...only thing is,I like this cat, even though he was the one I took a pic of,when he made a lunge for the baby bluetit on the feeder,...and Ben,a special little 3 year old neighbour, loves him to bits..
No problem,I have a big shovel..:o))

Just a thought ...... could it be because the ground was to frozen for the animals to bury it? I know my cat used the snow on the drive as her loo when the weather was at it's worst.

I used to notice a lot of it about in early spring in my previous garden, which had heavy clay soil - I think it's cos the ground's too wet and claggy for any creature to scratch and cover. The snow and freezing conditions would have made it very difficult for them too.

ive heavy clay soil bamboo, thanks for all your suggestions, ive caught the culprit,he lives four doors down, ive chucked a ton of pepper in the garden and done the stick thing,if it doesnt work im getting the sonic gun my dad has or im lobbing my cats at him lol,i must say my weeds are comeing out fairly easy, the soil is very loose, chris

So no excuse for the cat not covering its doings then - although if its a tom, they often don't bother, just do it and leave - gives a whole new meaning to Eats, Shoots and Leaves, don't it...

The Pepper Dust I use is in a plastic pot,
9 inches high, produced by Bayer... 225 g... costs about £5, but does last a while... and cheaper than having to buy lots of new plants ... and better than having to pick up little presents... gift-wrapped or otherwise ;o)
