My first blog and I hope not tooooooo boring!
Very productive it feels so far on the grow your own side,
So far up on my windowsill tumbling tomatoes, Aubergines, Chilli peppers………Only thing is have to self talk the look of dirt on the windowsill (like keeping my home tidy!!)
Outside have planted Early Nantes Carrots and they are up!
Broad beans are up see photo
From the pictures you can see Broad beans and garlic! I am trying these bags this year for the first time and hope they dont dry out too much.
Have not grown Spinach before so any tips welcome and I am using 2ndhand’s great idea with toilet rolls to sow seed love keeping gardening costs to a minimum!!
Also planting Little Gems, Rocket as the children love freshly picked from the garden to plate! so do i. Going to have a go at borlotti beans too!
I find it such therapy being in my garden planting, watering and as my daughter describes “taking care” of the plants.
Well that will be hobbie when they flee the nest – something to look after, nurture and watch grow!!

You're way ahead of me - I'm still in the planning stage - but I too am determined to grow my own this year! There's nothing like freshly-picked produce - tomatoes right off the vine, a peach plucked from your own tree. Yum!!
