Carex

In 2005 I was given a present of Carex Coman’s Bronze.
Thought it so attractive moved some new seedlings to different places. What a huge mistake – its spread everywhere and I have spent 2 days digging out masses of large clumps – just two more to go but difficult to reach as they are close to the base of the lilacs which are on a slope.
Carex should bear a ‘danger’ notice!

I so agree with you, I had one about 16 years ago and I still have to remove some every year in my garden.

Hywel I really can't imagine why anyone would want such a thug.
Drc726 - Glad I'm not alone in finding it such a menace. I know I shall have to continue keeping an eye for the small bits which I have possibly missed.

Oh dear :( I won't be growing that then ! ...
I hope you can get rid of it all. You don't want a thing like that spreading everywhere.
I suppose it only suits certain types of gardens ...
