Pied Wagtail

In February I wrote about a a little wagtail that I had only seen twice. Since then its visited patio door on a regular basis and loving the dried mealworms which I constantly feed her/him. A week or so ago she brought her baby that was all brown except for its tail which was blackish and white. Now gradually changing colour & although able to feed itself still begs for food when the parent is alongside.
I have seen the three of them twice. Hoping for more next year.
This morning whilst clearing loads of bluebell leaves I found 5 largish slugs & put them o/s patio door with a few dried meal worms for the blackbirds (2 male and one hen bird) again feeding young, In no time they had all been taken. I seldom find any snails/slugs not even around the hostas as having no cats I have loads of bird feeders.
One little cat visits but she seems to have no interest in hunting thank goodness. Just lonely I think as I expect her owners work. She follows me around the garden and after lots of tickles and purring disappears again.

Yes, Hywel it would be really good to have more wagtails here. About 3 miles away there quite a few but haven't seen any this year.
The blue tits are raising a second family in a large nesting box (made for me years ago) fastened to wall & which I see from computer. I've never managed to see them fly the nest but live in hopes.
