WHAT A DIFFERENCE A LITTLE SUNSHINE MAKES.

After having such a lovely sunny day yesterday, I decided to reminise through some of last years photos, just hoping and praying that the extreme weather we’ve had this winter hasn’t damaged much. It cheered me up knowing that the spring is not that far away, and summer not far behind it, and then it will be ‘All Go’ for us all.

Here are a few I picked out – Hope you enjoy looking through them….

Thankyou Hywel, Columbine, 6d, Clarice, Val, Red aly, Elsiemay, and Lincslass. Really pleased you like my baskets etc and for taking the time to look through them.

Paulsgarden the little yellow plant is Mesembryanthemum 'Basutoland', it's such a pretty little plant and a lovely bright yellow, that cheers the garden up. It is a kind of succulent, looking at its leaf.

Stickitoffee, the little daisy type flower is Brachycome. its very pretty with a lovely delicate feathery leaf. I find it makes a good basket filler. Pleased you like the photos

Yes, I am well, Lins....just frustrated with my laptop! It's still misbehaving and GoY seems to be the website that is the slowest for me. That's why I've not been around as much in recent weeks. :(

We've got some bright sunshine today although it is clouding over occasionally and there was a very slight frost last night. I keep wondering what February holds for us...I always breathe a sigh of relief once that month is over with as I'm never sure what mother nature will throw at us weatherwise during February!

Great and encouraging. Reminds us of what we have to look forward to. After this ghastly winter, we need it!

Everything's beautiful, but I really loved the baskets, especially since I have no talent at all for them! My baskets always look horrific.

ahhh, thats better !! the perfect tonic & antidote to the winter blue's. Always good to get a reminder that the seasons do change despite us thinking the cold stuff seems to go on forever. Thanks LS

Thankyou Kowhai for the lovely comment. It does cheer us all when we see lovely colourful plants and knowing spring isn't far off.

Thankyou Lauram, pleased you liked them. I just arrange the plants and hope for the best. I do try and put them quite close together so as not to get too many empty spaces. You know what they say Lauram, "Practice makes Perfect". :>))

Thankyou Bampy,So pleased it helped with your winter blues. It certainly does feel like the cold and damp weather goes on for ever, but cheer up, the Spring isn't far away for us.We certainly deserve it and it can't come quick enough for me.

Hi Bornagain, thanks for your comment, so pleased you like this shrub. It is DEUTZIA 'Monte Rose'. It's really attractive and has a lovely perfume, seems to attract bees. Hope this helps :o))

27 Jan, 2011

Yes Lin, it's not one I know. I bought D. strawberry fields last year, but its only small. It did flower though. If it looks half as lovely as your monte rose I'll be very happy. i might have to add it to my 'list' lol:-)

28 Jan, 2011

Why not Bornagain, try putting it on your birthday list!!! Hehe........ :o))
