I only have a few, all safely covered as I thought but a couple of weeks back the net had partly come off and the beggar found its way underneath, lol....

I find hoops covered with fruit netting are best. A neighbour made his from plastic piping joined together with struts of wood. I got mine from 'Garden Naturally' at Cirencester. They pushed into the ground easily. A good investment.
Brassicas like a rich soil. Sow your seed earlier to get bigger plants, and remember the slug bait. The eggs are still there in the ground.

At least he's only one ... unlike the sheep that got into our garden last year and ate the lot!
