The Winter Fairy's Last Icy Kiss Goodbye

Yes, her name is Alma and she has blown a last wintery kiss goodbye to my garden.

Her kiss has planted itself on everything in my garden…

…and beyond…

My garden gazing ball is giving me a wink..

My double helix tree, the symbol of my life’s work, is catching the frigid wind in order to spin around…

Go ice fishing, no thank you!

Alma has just offered me a cup of ice tea but no thanks…

My summer fairy Alba is pleading for sunshine and warmth so my garden can go into rebirth

In the meantime I will have a cup of hot tea in my dining room and look out the window at a summer made of glass.

Your windows are pretty. I should think they cheer you up in that dreadful weather - much nicer to look at than that cold muck ...
I hope spring will come to your garden soon :o)

I know I'm pleased my garden is not under a blanket of snow but the photo's of yours are really lovely especially the trees against the blue sky, must admit I like a walk in the snow, its when its goes hard and I have a job staying upright that I have a problem, you have some nice things in your garden L'strife, I do like your Helix tree and of course Alma and Alba.
Your windows are really special, hope you enjoyed your cuppa, I joined you but mine was coffee and I was watching the birds, lol........

The colours in your glass are exquisite and the wintry pictures lend themselves to a children's fairy story........so, go on, you can do it!

Thank you for your comments. My late wife loved these glass mosaic windows which were made for us years ago by a local artisan. This time of year the sun starts to shine strongly on them and in the afternoon they dazzle the eyes. My wife also loves fairies and I made sure to include them in my attempt at a cottage garden. There are two other faires which reside in my garden shed during the winter and are brought out in the spring. Their names are Umbra, she sits on a wall in my shade garden and White-Rock, who gazes into my sculpture pond. They can be seen on my photo section if you wish to see them.
