I love your garden Louis, Love it, from the pots to the plants and all the little touches that make your garden so special, can't say i have a favourite area but, your courtyard is amazing, i would give my right arm for a courtyard lol. Your TF is huge, i can't quite see the fronds in your pic, also the bamboo makes a great screen there, Your path leading to the courtyard is just perfect, love your turtle pot, I think all gardens should have something that makes us smile as we pass, my meerkats make me smile, everytime lol.. Thanks for adding the pics Louis, I thoroughly enjoyed them, Beautifull garden.. Dee..

Sorry Louis was interrupted and didn't see the photos after the comment about the money you raised. Your garden is so very beautiful I adore pots/containers and your collection has made me green with envy lol I love them all but I have to say my favourite is the happy little tortoise:)

Your taverna is looking splendid with all the ferns and geraniums just makes you want to sit down and order a nice glass of wine and something yummy to eat:) I am trying to create a similar look in my garden but I have only just started managed to get a couple of plates to go on the wall last week from the charity shop hopefully pick up more bits as and when I spy a bargain.

Absolutely wonderful blog pictures and garden:)

Thank you Dee and Nana.

Dee, what you see from the courtyard to La Taverna is not bamboo, it's a grass and it's one years growth. I love this grass as it grows so quick and they stay in clumps and no invasive runners. You are right Dee, one has to have a sense of humour with gardening, and not to be taken too serious :-)

Nana, Yes, the happy little tortoise is a funny looking chap/pot. I also have two fishes on the wall which are very colourful and funny, I might add them for you to see lol.
I do sit in La taverna with a glass or two of red wine, it's like my office in the Summer, as I get loads of inspirations for my work. It's not difficult to do Nana, if you do a pergola , then cover it up with railings and pots and plates and that's it. That's where I got some of my plates, in the charity shops...Good luck :-)

Thank you once again Dee and Nana, and just added the colourful fishes :-)

Love the colourful fishes were do you get all your pots from the tortoise and the fish look like they are from the same artist?

23 Aug, 2011

I have also noticed you have what looks like a half eaten apple in the first shot I also remember you have a ceramic guitar? Never see anything like that around this area:(

23 Aug, 2011

Hi Nana, You are absolutely right, the fishes and the tortoise are from the same artist. I bought them a few weeks ago when I went to Tatton Park Gardens. The half eaten apple I bought that from a garden centre near where I live. As for the ceramic guitar, well, that was my treat, as I know a potter who does some pots, so I asked him if I could commission him to make me a guitar, as I classical guitar. So I left him one of my old classical guitars for him to copy , and he made me one....hahaha!!!!

Hope I have given you some useful information..... :-)

Hi Louis thanks for all the info I am so nosey lol! Thought it was you that had the guitar going on the internet now to see where Tatton Park Gardens are :)

PS Got another plate at lunchtime to go in my spanishy/greeky eating area hoping they will be up before the weekend:)

Ahhhh the grass, yes, i think i thought it was bamboo in last years pics! thanks for reminding me lol...
Your fish, love them and the Apple's, Pear etc, there's so much to look at. Just noticed your new pic of the fish, there gorgeous, when i go abroad next year i will look out for ceramics like yours, they help make a garden special..

Thank you Nana d and Youngdaisyd........

Nana :- Tatton Park Gardens takes place south of Liverpool thereabouts, and it's once a year, just like Chelsea Flower Show but a little bit bigger. So you got another plate today...one of many hey, because now you're hooked and will buy more and more. Please send us a picture of your eating are, and oe course the red wine :-)

Youngdaisyd :- Yes a grass indeed, and it's the Miscanthus Gigantamum (spelling?) Very much so Daisy, I think coulourful ceramics and pots, makes the garden come alive...Well, that's my opinion. Will look forward to seeing your ceramics when you get some, and don't forget to post some pictures of them ..... Good luck

Thank you once again ladies ............ :-)
