Walk that became a 'drag'!

I love old ivy vines, they make wonderful frames for clematis. Just my luck to find some particularly pretty ones a mile from home!!
They were heavy! But glad I took the effort because they will look nice once the clems come back to life.
And talking about life, that heron I bought gave me quite a start when I looked over to the pond, it’s so lifelike! (from a distance!)
This was the dogs first introduction to said heron, they took no notice, hope the live herons don’t have the same attitude!
And one last pic…..I couldn’t resist going back to that natural lake, with the dogs of course!
Also, along my walk through the woods, I came across this fine example of hazel fencing. It was 1/3 way up a tree, reckon it’s a hide. Will keep an eye on it and see how it grows!

What a good idea to use old ivy vines Lulu, would never have thought of that, looks like the girls had a lovely walk.

I think old plant stems etc have such a touchy feely look to them don't they - much nicer than garden canes as support, aren't they.

Agree with simbad, was going to say same thing!

What a brilliant idea, Lulu - I will have to look out for some when I walk in the woods but I might take someone with me to do the dragging :)

Those ivys are lovely. I did that with a wisteria stem once lol. And the fence is nice too. Good work bringing it back home :o)

That seems like a really good idea, Lulu! Your Clematis will feel very much at "home" scrambling up them as if they were in the forest!

I will tie them up next week when I have replanted a couple of clems in pots, it's just a bit too wet still, at least that's my excuse on a lazy Sunday!
