First day this year

My raised beds spent the winter underneath this confusion ,its left like this so that scooby and any of his mates or indeed enemies dont use the raised beds as public conveniences,Scooby as usual appeared as soon as i got the camera out.
I built the small summer house a couple of years ago ,put power in it and its been brilliant , radio ,heater and fridge its perfect
Scoobs spent most of this morning supervising me from his vantage point on top of the hut .
King appeared mid morning , he lives about two or three streets away from me butwhen he makes a bid for freedom he turns up in my garden ,he has worked out that i will feed him and i do, strangely if im in the house he barks at the door until i come out. Clever dog.
One of todays jobs was to add another board to make this a double height raised bed, I then added some of last years gro-bags a rake in of organic seaweed fertiliser and then heavy black plastic on top, this retains any heat the soil gathers over the next few weeks before I seed early carrots in this one.
Scoobs moved down to supervise the intricate jobs more closely.

It was sunny in my garden today, though still snow on the shady parts. It was lovely to let my new puppy experience the garden..... even though he wanted to put everything in his mouth ~ old leaves, stones. LOL.
I had to be very vigilant !

Yes, it was lovely having Truffle out in the dog run.
You're right. I must take lots of photos while he is tiny because the puppies grow so fast !

How come that lovely dog (KIng) is allowed to roam free? I wouldn't let Henry do that, far too dangerous!
Does he go home by himself as well?

hi Spritzhenry
I dont really know the reason it always seems to be weekends and sometimes I see him on a lead with his owner , he always looks as if he has been out for a while. And yes he goes home by himself although he stays for a while.

VERY odd! Maybe his garden is not secure?

King looks lovely! I like the way you've made the veg patch/raised beds out of bounds! It looks like an obstacle course from that old tv programme 'it's A Knockout'!!!!! Ha Ha!

Thanks for the inspiration. Much needed ; )
