Yes, GoYs I did it again!!
I went to big M on my way to the doc (I blame him, you know!) to get some goat’s cheese, & got hijacked on the way in by the plants!!!
So I came out of there with a Jasmine officinale, a Clematis Hagley Hybrid (a lovely pink!) a Spirea Gold Flame, a Photinia Red Robin, a white Azalea, & a tub of violas!
Oh! I DID get the goats cheese tho!
After the doc (who laughed when he saw me & said I’d better not be there about my back)
I went to Homebase for some paint (more on that another day!) & came out with the paint, two trays of mixed pansies for 75p each, & 2 fuschia hanging baskets for £1.99 each!
Here we are!!
I worked it out & the plants came to £16 in all!
Dear cheese, but………..!

Nice to 'see' you Bscott!
I think you'd better give up cheese Marie, then you wouldn't get tempted....but.....life is no fun without temptation is it.....and even more fun when you give in! LOL. It looks like bargain cheese to me - all those free gifts with it. Happy planting :o)))
24 Sep, 2009
By big M do you mean Big Mac ? Does that mean something different in Scotland ?
24 Sep, 2009
Lol, B, it was quite good! Didnt have the guts to tell the doc my back IS out! LOL!
Hee hee, Lily! I MUST have my goats cheese! Anyway the plants were so cheap, & I took full advantage of the multibuy offers in Morrison's!! 99p for the violas, & the pot is packed! Might get more on the way home tomorrow!!
24 Sep, 2009
I meant Morrison's! As for it meaning something different, I suppose it'd depend who you're asking, lol! Try asking macrimmon that question!!!!
24 Sep, 2009
great bargains mari, happy planting, watch that back to :o)
24 Sep, 2009
Ach, it'll be fine! Just a loose disc!
24 Sep, 2009
Oh sorry lol .. confession time a customer bought a pear tree in a bag from Morrisons nothing more than a twig for £1.20 ..oh well I ll give it a go not expecting much ..
3 years on its fruiting well and she never lets me forget it ..
24 Sep, 2009
Its obviously not safe for you to go out with your purse Madperth, lol. Some real bargains there.
24 Sep, 2009
Nope! I'm hopeless with money! I think I should just carry on leaving it in the fridge! But I got some great plants, & I'm not due back at the doc for another 6 weeks!Lol!
24 Sep, 2009
So you hide your money in the fridge Mad, ha ha, we all know now.
I agree, the plants are great and good news that the Doc doesnt need to see you for 6 weeks.
24 Sep, 2009
I usd to hide any spare cash in the fridge. Don't have any now, the garden centre's looking after it for me....lol
24 Sep, 2009
No, I dont HIDE it in the fridge! I went off to my first day at uni without my lunch or my purse, & when i got home, I found the purse with my lunch in the fridge!! :~}
Yes, I was pleased, tho he's nice! I'll bet HE was relieved!!
24 Sep, 2009
Brilliant haul! You must have looked like a mobile plant shop carrying that lot home, great selection you've got there!
24 Sep, 2009
Morrison's plant are really good quality & value...I'm always popping in for milk & coming out with clematis!
24 Sep, 2009
Ha ha Lily & Madperth, you make me smile :-)
24 Sep, 2009
Perhaps they shouldn't put the milk next to the clematis on the shelf?
24 Sep, 2009
Ha ha Andrew
24 Sep, 2009
Jen, I had to go to the doc with the first lot!! I ended up getting a taxi home!!!
Me too Fluff!
LOL Dawn!
Andrew, I know, its VERY distracting!
Eeeeeeeeeeww! That was outbox message no. 6660!! Spooky!
24 Sep, 2009
Now they've all got to be set, lol
24 Sep, 2009
Yes, but it was nearly dark when I got home so planting will need to wait til tomorrow!
24 Sep, 2009
Good luck tomorrow with the setting Mad :-)
24 Sep, 2009
Andrew...what are you saying??! The milk is miles away from the clematis silly...BUT you have to pass the plants to get to the dairy section...d'you see my predicament?!!!
24 Sep, 2009
Perhaps the could sell Bread and Milk in Garden Centres...less petrol!
24 Sep, 2009
Exactly, Fluff, you have to pass the plants to get ANYWHERE!! Its most distracting, isnt it??
Thanks Dawn! Havent worked out where theyre going yet!!
Good idea Jen!
24 Sep, 2009
Great stuff M.P.:)) Now go and put your purse back in the fridge...it'll be safer there :)) x

Bargainous, Marie!!!! I love Spirea Gold Flame, it's a real 'workhorse' and so easy....lovely colours most of the year, too!
You're right, it was a very dear cheese but look at all the 'freebies' that came with it!
Happy Planting!
