Getting out there!

Well weather being kind and as usual after winter i got cabinfever and feel the need to be outside as much as i can, so instead of just head full of ideas (inspired by all the clever inspirational garden photos on this site) actually got out there and started operation tidy up! Whitewashed the front garden wall and painted gate..fiddly wrought iron thing a right pain!! That was a pleasing afternoon as you see the results as you paint and looks so fresh when just painted. Now weather had gone back to mizzle and mist so the fencing and trellis will have to wait a while longer, seagrass green is the shade i use for those. Visted garden centre yesterday and see they have bought out new shades of fencing stains one called sweetpea very tempting!! Bought some violas and polyanthus for window boxes to cheer me up so will pop them in later on today. Had a nice walk around Trebah Gardens on Friday always a pleasure and a tasty lunch as well, truly a happy day with friends.

Yes it really is good to start actually doing rather than daydreaming of how i want things to be. Do find that browsing on here very addictive but on the plus side it does'nt make the joints ache as much as the actual gardening does..and you can eat cake while getting inspiration browsing here :~). Glad weather kind to you as well.

Trouble is Maezy you can eat too much cake and the plant wish list just keeps on growing.lol. Good that you have managed to make a start on all that painting, bet it looks good.
I was hoping to finish of the alterations to the bottom of the garden today, but just as I was ready down came the rain. The forecast looks good for tomorrow, so hopefully can make a start then.

I start to get stircrazy when I can`t go in the garden, although not as bad as I was pre-greenhouse days, you are good doing the painting, I bought the stain for my fencing 2yrs ago and its still on my todo list, the only thing to get a touchup last year was my little decorative bike..

haha Stroller i sure know about eating too much cake!! Thats why i need to get cracking in the garden :~)
Like the sound of decorative bike Lincslass i love quirky things around the garden, personalises it i think!
Terratoonie i love your profile pic we had an Airedale for many years he was 16 when he died, such a character we still laugh about some of his escapades now!
