hi all,

I completed my course of radio-therapy treatment on the 10th August and since then have been slowly recovering from its after-effects, principally a sore mouth, pain when swallowing and lack of saliva. been taking related tablets, etc.
my taste is slowly coming back, it has been like eating cardboard.

about two weeks ago got blue-lighted into hospital as I had developed a chest infection. nice to drive through red lights!

discharged the other day and must admit feel a lot better. have a meeting with my consultant towards the end of September. don’t think that I will get much joy out of it.

anyway, take care all and enjoy your bank holiday traffic chaos. hugs to you all, dave.

Thanks for the update Dave......good luck and hope the eating of 'cardboard' food is worth it...I m sure it will be.
All the best
Paul.

Must be a relief that the course has finished - it sounds horrible. Here's hoping that you soon feel fit again.
