Raining Cats and Dogs

We have much welcomed rain today but it doesn’t know when to stop.
I have just been to our local nursery to get some plants for my baskets etc.
This is a selection of the ones I purchased.
Begonia Truffle – Peach Trailing
I have bought 4 plants for my 16 inch hanging basket.
Begonia – Buffey
Begonia – Glowing Ember
Geranium – Deep Rose Splash
Now I need to brave the elements and go to the greenhouse to plant them up

You have chosen very pretty colours for your begonias and the geraniums are lovely too.
Hope there is a gap in the rain clouds soon!

Best of luck with braving the elements, the plants are lovely. I had some of the 'Fire' named Begonias (can't remember the proper name now, but Fire or Flame something) for several years, put them in the back of barn as usual to dry in the pots for the winter. This year the pots contain either nothing - eaten by the mice, or delightful vine weevil grubs which have killed them off. Sad as they had made up into huge corms.

Thank you for your comments.
The weather has now improved today so I have been planting up a few of my baskets and pots. We go away in a few weeks on a cruise around the British Isles so my friend has kindly offered to look after them.
Oliveoil it was the garden centre at Laceby that we went to. It has been much improved .Most of the workers have problems so I think it is wonderful that they have been given the opportunity to work there.

oh that is good to hear, I do not get out that way nowadays, but it is pleasing to hear they employ special needs people to do the work, it must be very therapeutic for them. We have had an improvement in the weather after all the wet last week, great to be out again in the garden. :O)
