We had a very wet day yesterday but the gardens had their rewards. When I went in the garden this morning this is what I saw. I have been waiting for a few days for the lilies to come into bloom, they look lovely next to Bressingham Blue agapanthus .

They are certainly worth waiting for. I don't have a lot of luck with Lilies, either the dreaded beetle or the Voles eat the bulbs, so I shall be settling for Alstromeria instead!

Its been a good year with my lilies, your lovely photo's has however made me realise this one hasn't appeared for me, that's a good excuse to buy new Marjorie..
Honey I keep my pots up on benches away from my pets, since I started to do that I haven't seen a single beetle, don't know whether that is the reason but worth trying...

These lilies are the first I have had in my garden. They were an offer in the Times. I only had to pay a postage fee. I was hoping that there would be more varied colours. Perhaps my friends have got the ones I gave away to them.

They look lovely and your patience has been rewarded! I must buy new lilies next year as ours have not done very well this year. Enjoy them :-)
