Those of you who have Sky arts ,there is a fascinating programme each week called ‘The Art of the Garden’.Tonight it followed Dan Pearson’s life.He is a renown landscape gardener having designed for many prominent people. His latest project was to restore the grounds of Lowther Castle.
It’s a very relaxing programme taking you to many parts of the UK and Italy showing how to juxtapose the managed area with the natural garden .
We may have a little more time on our hands to watch it whilst the drought continues.

I was watching it Julia … absolutely my sort of programme. The narrator was excellent (I recognised his voice from The Art of Architecture which I also loved). Aren’t we lucky to have such great programmes on Sky Arts?

There are some great designers coming up in the rest of this series including Tom Stuart Smith … more inspiration to come! Thank you.
