A quick trip around the garden.

Snapped a few shrubs etc which are showing some promise on this cold, dull day.
Pink Marble Photynia planted last Autumn seems to have survived.

Zebra grass looking very statuesque, sadly will be cut down early Spring.

This Holly, which started as a tiny sprig, has surprised me today….all along I thought it was sterile and low and behold there are berries!

Pink Camelia showing many buds, usually frosted in previous years.

Pots just waking up planted up last Autumn with dwarf Wallflowers, bulbs and the daisy like plant Bellis perennis white daisy biennial.

Dwarf Iris top level flowering in stand.

Pittosporum Gold star.Such a glorious colour on these bleak days.

These Cyclamen are such stars…Narcissi poking through.

You have quite a lot of colour in your garden now Julia.
Makes me think of Spring.

I particularly like your iris, Meadow, such a pretty colour. It's good to see the garden springing back to life again.

No, not really, Meadow, everywhere is saturated. Did get out for a morning to Welford Park last week (see pics) and enjoyed a pub lunch afterwards....

Thanks Julia! I am getting there. Yes, I think spring days will help me. x

Julia, you have some lovely plants and have reminded me how much I liked the Zebra grass, sadly it had to go after many years in my garden. Hmm, perhaps I should buy another ...

ML I'm glad to hear your Amaryllis is flowering now! I have several with buds still in the neck of the bulbs but once they come out they "sprint" for the sky! 😆

Everything looks very happy in your garden Meadowland, no sign of damage from the storms this Winter brought, but I guess wind and rain cause less damage than long visits from Jack Frost. Like you, I have a holly bush too, kindly donated by the birds, which I thought was sterile but has produced berries. Actually, thinking about it, the berry producing plants have done well the year and the birds haven't stripped them bare as they often do. I love your dwarf iris and what a magnificent cyclamen too, a lovely sight on a cold, dull day.

Julia, if you are able to divide a small piece for me that would be fabulous ... thanks so much!

Julia, we had two Zebra grasses to remove as I had divided the original some years ago. We put two garden forks back to back for that, then when we removed them we were quite ruthless chopping them up with a spade first. Oh dear, sounds drastic doesn't it?

Perfect ... :o)

Shirley even though it seems very drastic they later benefit hugely! I wince when I see Monty doing that! 😆

It’s a joy to see your lovely plants. The Pink Marble Photynia is so pretty and the cyclamen with it’s gorgeous leaves really looks beautiful. What a happy sight that Pittosporum must be on a dull day. It’s glowing. You must be so happy with your garden.
