Yesterday's visit to see family in Cardiff.

Cardiff is such an attractive city with the many green areas and parks. My son and his family live north of the city a stone’s throw from Roath Park lake.Yesterday it was quite busy being half term. The following photos show some very beautiful trees growing on the water’s edge and showing their architectural shapes.

We finished the afternoon at The Honey Bee tearoom…a delightful eatery offering light snacks and cakes.A home made quiche won pride of place followed by coffee and walnut cake!
The walls are so unusual with many plates hanging on one and a Sanderson wallpaper on the other walls depicting a variety of wild birds.

That looks a lovely cafe. I like the plates too, and the wallpaper. Ty for sharing your visit with us, pity we couldn’t sample the quiche & cake too!

I would like to mention Julia that I love the trees and also the coffee shop. I love the plates oh the wall and have some with all kinds of birds on the wall in the kitchen and I am a dish enthusiast. All the fancy food there looks delicious. .... but I have an European origin. (This is not a north American "modern" homey style :-(( )
