Hello friends
Well Spring is definitely on it’s way and yesterday proved it as it was actually very nice, one downside was that I spent most of it in bed with this rotten flu-type bug! “sigh”
I braved the cold today to take a few pics of the bulbs "most of which were planted quite late and in pots, they are however doing quite well and I will sink them into position in a few weeks time.
There are daffodils, Tulips and some alliums
The yellow-ish planter with some sickly looking yellow things are Tete-a-tete daffs, I was sifting through the junk the other day and these planters were on top of each other, as i lifted the top one it revealed the yellow one with the sickly things in, they must have got a degree of light to them as they were still trying to push up, I reckon given a week or so they will have gone green and start flowering, how wonderful nature is!
I hope your all gearing up for the new season! I bet you all can’t wait especially after this long and hard winter we’ve had.

Yes it will Terra, I think they will be fine, obviously their itching to do their thing.
there is a flower bed in Bristol which i pass as i go about my work, some people use it as a short cut instead of going the proper way and tread in the daffs, it angers me so as they only come once a year, it seems so unfair doesn't it!

Yes, you would hope people would try not to damage the plants...
....those folk are lazy... will end up at weight watchers..LOL.

I'm glad i'm not on my own on this one Terra, I think most of us on here would hate that sort of thing, mind you a lot of the people who pass near there look out of their heads on something anyway, like you say it's just laziness really

Weather forecast is quite good across Britain next couple of days. I hope you feel better soon and can get out in the garden more. I gave my lawns their first mow of the year yesterday and trimmed some bushes...

That's good news certainly, i'm starting to feel a bit better now thanks, it feels quite cold but that might be me being unwell.
That first mow of the year is a sign of improving weather and the arrival of a very welcome spring!

Yes Tulsa, i'm quite pleased with them considering they were planted very late, I still have some plant moving to do so once that's done they can get placed around and then that will be it, i've never really had a good spring garden yet to be honest!
