The SRGC & Kevock Nursery get ready for Gardening Scotland

Well B is taking his camera... I'm not! Getting photos that look good is difficult as the big cow byre doesn't have any decent light anywhere.

I didnt realise you are indoors all the time.

The Kevock stand at Chelsea last week was just fantastic.
One of the best in the whole show in my opinion. Hardy's Perennials, Harvey's Plants for Shade and Kevock were my three favourites. Sadly Kevock were not selling off many plants at 4pm on the Saturday . I would have loved to have had quite a few.

In fact the whole display transported to my back garden would have done me just nicely.

Hi Denise the big show gardens are outside but just like Chelsea a lot of the stands are under cover... Probably just as well expecting wet and windy weather over the weekend. We arrived at the show hall at 14:30 and worked away for over four hours on the stand... packing in moss, removing dead flower, damaged leaves. A huge amount of work goes into getting the stands ready for judging. You keep prowling around looking to make sure there are no holes and that none of the pots is visible! The do a balancing act like the sugar plum fairy to hid pots with moss!

Shame if the weather is bad, all that packing in moss etc must be hard on the back or knees?

Back Denise... In fact I'm off for my favourite cure - a glass of wine!
