Speyside Way on a sunny Sunday

Having enjoyed their walk by the Findhorn the Moon Bulbs decided to head down to Knockando and walk part of the Speyside Way.
The rising sun gave warning of just how frosty it was…
The temperature gauge in the car read 0 when we got to Tamdhu Distillery where we parked and, emerging from the car and starting along the way we could believe it!
Frosted bracken looking almost festive
As did the rowan berries
A sheltered spot protected this fungus
The light was fantastic and in the sun it was almost warm!
A very chilly rowan…
Today we are back to grey skies and damp dreich weather, at least we have the memory of three sunny frosty days to cheer us up!

It was distinctly cold Mr MB was even wearing a hat! But in fact feels colder here today with the damp dank weather.

Good job it was warmer in the sun. It's lovely to walk on a fresh morning though. Personally I don't mind the rain but it is nice to get some sun occasionally.

Now snow in November I can definitely give a miss to! It is now milder and greyer.

Still trying to adjust to the gray myself, and shorter days, moving to the 43rd parallel. When I lived at 9600 ft in CO, I gave out sweaters (jumpers) one Halloween blizzard in lieu of candy. Here in Oregon it's just wet & drizzly on the laundry on the line (sigh), bone damp and chill, but no real frost yet. Might salvage some late ripening tomatoes yet.

More beautiful pictures from the Moon Bulbs ;-)
Golly, the difference in temperatures throughout the country become so apparent when we look at each others photos.
