I awoke this morning to see that my Gnome had moved, as if he was trying to peak over the wall…made me chuckle.
I took the opportunity to get the camera out take a few pictures of him before I stood him back up.
Had a quick wonder to see some signs of spring.
Onions & Garlic
Rhubarb
I have this dilema too what do i put in this area in my front paved area..I do know i will have to put soil in. LOL
Any Suggestions would be most appreciated, would like to make a nice statement.

On my "Are You Ready" blog ... in the Winter Olympics medals table, the Global Gnomes are currently second behind the GoY Wellie Olympic Pets.... looks like this gnome has been burning the midnight oil with some extra training !
Nice to see signs of life in your garden... have you thought of making the front area into a gravel garden..? I edit the GoYpedia page for Gravel Gardens... That might give you some ideas... go to G at the base of the page, and that will take you to Gravel Garden ideas. I hope this helps :o)

Do you want low growing plants in there, Mrsmelon? How about going all dramatic with black and silver? Opiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' (black lily-turf) with a dwarf silver Artemisia would look great!
Just a thought...................................................:-)

I love the combination of Cerastium biebersteinii (or any silver foliage plant with white flowers) and decorative Alliums - Purple Sensation, Gladiator, Lucy Ball, Ambassador or Globemaster...

That sounds like a lovely combination, Uma.... :o)
