Hope I never recover, just had to show you these pictures of some of my lovely Heucheras/Tierrellas/Heucherellas. The latest babies arrived this morning, all seven of them from the Little Cutie Series, so should not get too big unlike some of the ones in the garden borders which are now looking amazingly large. lol. Who needs flowers is all I could think of when I saw these wonderful foliage colours.
This is the stand which Karen sent me for Christmas, it just was crying out for Heucheras. So I just went mad and bought lots:- Hope you like them too, think the colours are stunning all gathered together.
These are a selection of ones in the garden borders, some have no names as they were just bought as Heucheras and I have been so lucky that they have grown up so well and look so healthy. Think they must like the soil. I will try and name the ones I know :-
Prince dark red/maroon foliage (grown so much) with a little bit of Heucherella Alabama Sunrise by his side.
Various ones some of which I know the names of but sorry one in there I have no idea what it is.
Tiarella Sugar and Spice, H. Firechief, H. Unknown, H.Obisidian and H Caramel.
Some of the Heucheras are only just coming back to life from the drenching they got this winter the next one is one of those that did struggle:-
H. Sugar Frosting
I am not sure which one this is think it is Lime Pie but not certain, sorry!
This one again I have no idea, bought as Heuchera without label.
H. again unknown sorry!
Think this one is H. Root Beer but not certain. The foliage is not as orange as this photo shows again the camera not showing oranges and reds correctly.
H. Beaujolais
Right there are a lot more to show you but think you have had enough of my ramblings for one blog. Maybe I will do another one later on in the year – Lunch time – Hope you are all managing to get out and about in your gardens today, weather is lovely but forecast not so good for rest of week. Happy Gardening fellow GoYers :O)

thank you Kath so pleased you enjoyed the pictures. Off to pot up the little ones next as I also bought new pots for them. I wasn't expecting them to come as quickly as they did so housework has to go on hold until I have finished re-potting and watering. lol.

sssshhhhh Marjories - lol - no not that I have ever noticed and I think that I would have if they were infected, although some of them are very small as I split some and moved some to better places last back end. Think they all look ok at the moment they seem to be growing just fine.

You will be made most welcome Pamg. lol :O) Just hope that the meetings do not convert my addiction. lol. :O) I just love all the colours and that is without the flowers on them, which of course can be a bonus.

Gorgeous display Olive-O Your right, who needs flowers when you have Huchera. Pic3, bottom of pic with red vein in the middle, do you know which one that is, It would look great in my design of gardening..

Dee, that's Tiarella Sugar and Spice. I have that one as well, it's a cracker, very good contrast on the leaf.
mum, this is lovely, your stand is looking good too. I'm waiting for my stands to come from Amazon as well. They will be home to my scented leaf pelargoniums etc.
Heucheras are just stunning all together aren't they. And the little cutie series is wonderful. I do have a couple of them, and they are terrific plants. I'm really still waiting for mine to get going. They didn't enjoy the move very much. only one or two have overwintered well this year.
24 Apr, 2014
Thanks Karen, ill look it up. Little Cutie! will they saty small, sorry for the noob questions lol, i have 2 living wall planters to fill this year and dont want plants that will take over other plants, My mind is churning with it haha..
24 Apr, 2014
Yes, they stay small and they flower profusely too!

Young daisy, Some of them get no bigger than 15cm tall, which is great for smaller areas. I have ordered some Trailing Tiarellas and Heucherellas for my hanging baskets just to have a change from flowers and trailing plants in them. I did use just ordinary Heucheras last year but have now put them into the garden borders. I had not realised that there were any trailing varieties until I was doing some researching on line. So looking forward to them arriving soon. Will post pictures as soon as they are planted up.
Karen it looks lovely the black stand with all those colours. Thinking of doing one with Hostas but they would need to be the mini Hostas. I was going to do a sink garden out with the mini hostas but when I looked at the depth of the sink gardens I didn't think they would be deep enough so gave up on that idea. Will have to do some more research on the internet and save up for some hostas.
Think I might have got Sarah hooked as well on the Heucheras she bought some new ones yesterday. lol.

Was it Karen who put two in one pot?
I have just put Obsidian with Apple crisp mmmmmm
25 Apr, 2014
Yes it was Pamg, I have done it in hanging baskets they do look good but this year I am waiting for trailing ones to put in the hanging baskets. I had no idea they did trailing varieties but am waiting now for them to arrive to put them in. Will post pictures when they are here. It will make a nice change from trailing flowers. Please post a picture for us all to see the mixture :O)
25 Apr, 2014
I don't have my two in a pot any more. They went in the ground here. obsidian with apple crisp sounds lovely. I love Apple crisp. It has overwintered the best of all of mine this year. :)
25 Apr, 2014
You've got me thinking now....obsidian and Marmalade?
25 Apr, 2014
Caramel with midnight rose?
25 Apr, 2014
oh yes those would be lovely they would work well . I love Caramel, it is such a vibrant one. There are lots of mixtures that would suit planting together, the mind is working hard now. lol.
25 Apr, 2014
Lovely selection of Heucheras Barbara - if only I'd known there were trailing varieties before doing my wall baskets .........
25 Apr, 2014
Some lovely ones there, I am waiting for the trailing ones to come in to the GCs want to put them in our pots, have not seen any for sale though......sorry to hear about your addiction, there is no cure you know!! lol
25 Apr, 2014
I'm hoping that the dark leaved ones shelter the pale leaves from the sun, I nearly lost one because of that.......
fun isn't it! Need something to brighten usvup the weather was awful yesterday and no better at all this morning, cold wet and windy :0 (

Shirley I had no idea until I went on line, wonderful thing this google malarky. lol :O)
Thank you DD I know but our gc never gets in anything that is a little different, same old same old. We have to travel to get a good gc with different sort of stock in. So went on line, think it is just as cheap buying on line although the delivery charges are a pain. But well worth the money if you can get what you want, what I spend on fuel I spend on delivery if you understand what I am saying.
Pam they will be ok, sometimes I think we fuss too much over our babies lol. :O) We certainly do need a brightener on days like we get. Raining here again this morning was just the same yesterday. But we live on an island so I suppose we can expect it. I have a cricket match today to do teas for so am waiting for the phone call telling me its off, that is if they think the pitch is unfit. The only problem is I never get the call until mid morning and am waiting with baited breath wondering how much preparation to do. Ah well off to g.c. to do some shopping for daughters school children project before that. So with a bit of luck I might find something for me there. lol :O) not all bad you see. :O)
26 Apr, 2014
We went to 4 GCs yesterday, must admit didn't buy anything in 2 of them and just 2 hanging thingies in another but i did but 3 Huchera in Cowells :))) Green Spice, Rio and Paprika, the last 2 are gorgeous bright orangy reds and the Green spice looks like the one i asked you about with the red veins (should of wrote it down) all 3 are for sun/shade which is good as i dont know where they are going yet :) So, my collection of Huchera are doing nicely as i dug some out of a border 2 days ago which im redisigning, looking forward to planting these beauties..

PS meant to add, if you google Free Postage voucher codes, you will see loads of sites or write in the name of the site you would like to order from at the end. You never know untill you try lol.. Free postage is allways welcome :)
26 Apr, 2014

Well, My computer wont upload pics!!! Had it fixed before guarantee ran out, then a couple of month after, it broke again so i will have to pay to get it fixed now grrrr The shop hub bought it from is well known for fixing instead of exchanging! I suppose i can't name it but it rhymes with Hurrys :)) I hate the shop, dont know why hub bought it from there...
The huchera are to form part of a living wall and also to Pretty up my new Dining BBQ Area lol..
26 Apr, 2014
You should go in an make a complaint it is an on going problem that you had fixed while it was still under guarantee and tell them it has not been fit for purpose. You might get them to sort it free of charge. Tell them you are going to go to Trading Standards and expect them to sort it without delay.
