HAPPY CHRISTMAS and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

Hope you have a brilliant holiday and enjoy the festivities.

Just finished the slapping on of icing sugar now for the clean up. From left to right, my cake, middle Sarah’s cake and on the far right with the challenge completed, an igloo for Sammie. lol. and she thought I would not succeed. Oh I do love a challenge. lol.

Pastries made and tins all packed up for the girls and boys. Parcels wrapped up and fairy lights in situ.

Just need a strong cup of coffee and then I shall be set to go and get up the icing sugar dust which is everywhere. lol. even the specs. are covered.

Enjoy your parties and hope the weather holds out for you all. Happy Christmas everyone.

Great Cakes. I love the idea of baking goodies at Xmas time. So old-fashioned now, but so personal.

Thank you everyone, the large characters, snowman, reindeer and santa light up and change colours when switched on. I thought they were a little different and would amuse Lottie and her Mum bought three and that was one too many so stole one for my cake.

Karen there are two with ponds, one which Santa is skating on and the other one is not frozen as it is so mild here. lol got to be realistic lol

Lovely cakes Barbara, the igloo is very impressive. Cake decorating and baking can be such good fun (hard work sometimes but still fun) just wish I had more time to bake. Still should be baking mince pies tomorrow or Thursday - yummy.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Lottie is coming with her mum too and we have a playtable to paint/varnish for a friends two children and then I am finished - I THINK!!!!................

Yes, thanks.......we have been very lucky here...no flooding like so many other poor people in other regions!

The Trent is very high but so far staying inside its bed, fingers are crossed because it is our only way out of town into Nottinghamshire. Its a long way around to another bridge to get over to the other side. It rarely floods over but when it does it causes chaos. It has been very bad in places and I feel so sorry for those who have been so badly affected by all that water. We are on top of a hill so it does not affect us but downtown suffered in the past before they built flood banks all the way down the sides of the Trent. I just do not understand why they do not do the same for all those who have suffered so badly in the past few years. Stay dry everyone x
