Survivor of the snow

Tuesday 13th. January. 9.30 a.m.
After a misty start, the sun is coming out and it’s all rather springlike here in South West Cornwall. The temp. on my indoor/outdoor thermometer reads 8C. although usually a little higher than true as the probe is just outside our conservatory door, in a shelltered spot.
The birds think spring has come, all chasing each other around, even the blackbird who thinks he owns my garden is following a lady blackbird.
We’ll be getting our frogs and toads laying their spawn next.! One year we had spawn laid in November, it didn’t survive obviously.
Now, yesterday was a different story, we didn’t get the snow that was forecast, but did we get rain. Torrential rain, all day, just didn’t stop, and a bitterly cold wind. But, today no wind, no snow, no rain just lovely sunshine.

Oh, sorry to "boast" folks. We do get a lot of rain in the summer, quite depressing at times, not all rosy.
Sorry about the white stuff Spritz and maybe your sun will come out later Jacque.
