Roses....

…. at least, I think that’s what they’re called, the little bit with holes at the end of the watering can. Mine has gone missing! Found out yesterday when I watered my peppers and it gushed out instead of “raining”.
Hope it’s possible to replace just that bit and not have to get another whole watering can. I only just got that one a couple of months back and on welfare it’s not funny having to pay out even that what lots of people would think of as negligable amount.
Good news is I got 2 trees for free. Well, nearly, anyway. I thought I would have a go at planting a berry from the floor of the park across the road from me, and a cherry stone, having just enjoyed eating the cherries :)
No pics on this one, sorry :D

I agree, the rubbery ones will fit most cans. I had one once but I can't find it lol

Lol yes, it would be nice if my roseless cans and canless roses would actually fit together....

I often use my watering can without the rose and then I can't find it, but I do know exactly where it is at the moment which makes a change. :0)

Stera I have ones like that as well, I've had a count today as Pam's blog came to mind whilst using one that hasn't got a rose, I have six cans but only two roses....

I didn't have to buy one. I was going to, this morning, but before I left my friend turned up and said she'd found it the other day but forgotten to tell me. So she has put it back on, but I think I will have to find some glue so I don't lose it again.

I bought a couple of cheap watering cans online, with a little knob to put the rose on, when not in use.......so useful!!

Mine has that too, it's brilliant, saves my pocket getting wet putting it in there while filling the can up (have to fill down the spout as our tap is too close to the wall to get the big hole underneath).... but it was very end bit had come off the spout bit.

So sorry Homebird but the laugh was out before I could stop it.... Isn't that just the sort of thing that happens!
Bet you didn't laugh though.

Sorry, Homebird. I also laughed! Why do we laugh at others' misfortune?
PA: Glad all ended well. remember the Freecycle sites. They are always giving away gardening stuff here.

Mine often go missing Pam,sometimes they get chewed up by my four-legged friend as well, Poundland ,Wilko's anywhere like that do them very cheaply, the GC's are obviously dearer because they tend to go for the quality ones, as you say thats ok if you can afford it, make sure you get one with a rubbery neck though, nothing worse than getting one home only to discover its wrong size for your watering can...Whats the betting that when you buy a new one your old one will appear....
