Discovering my garden - 8 weeks in

My patch may only be wee but I see something new everyday. The thrill of getting out there as soon as I am home from work still excites as I make my way home. Now and then I take the camera out with me.
Here’s my only planting to date, my green manure sprouting.
I’ve also made a friend, his hobbies include getting rid of slugs (I hope!), climbing, and scaring me when I’m weeding.
A not so welcome guest that arrived this week, rust on my raspberries :( Well I think it is rust?
On a more positive note the colour is still to be found around the borders.
Phygelius capensis is still blooming looking great in the late sun.
Last of the Crocosmia (I think?)
And my favourite charmers, cyclamens bobbing around the borders.
I even managed to catch one of the day lillies, thanks for the IDs on these shy blooms.
The garden gets interesting textures as it gets colder, I love these seed heads – can anyone recognise them?
Thanks to everyone on this site who help me to learn – so many questions!

What a happy blog to discover, Pam. Your excitement for your garden shines through your words. The cyclamen are looking very pretty and the orange lily looks to be almost a double bloom? Very attractive. Happy gardening :)

Thank you all. I thought they might be aliums given their size. I've let all the seed fall to the soil, not sure how easily they would germinate if at all?
I'm getting very boring about the cyclamens, I just love them. One day they are pretty flowers, the next tendrils spiraling around and then an explosion of gay leaves. They have very quickly become my faves.

the alliums will readily germinate, they will soon become weeds. :o)
